My friend and bridal&evening wear designer Mandy Heng got recently married to her Fiancé Simon. About a year ago, she decided to do a couple shooting together with Simon, who is a huge Star Wars fan. They picked a few different outfits and we drove to a beautiful location near Sydney with massive sand dunes.
Simons’ first look was a star wars themed one, which matched perfectly with the desert like landscape. I love it when couples decide to put some personality in their shooting concept and make it their very own love story. For example when the shoot takes place in a location that means something to the couple or if the styling is an homage to their favorite movie, like in this case.
The next look was a bridal themed one and despite the heavy wind that day, Mandy and Simon looked great and had a lot of fun in front of the camera. In some photographs the wind is even adding something beautiful to the photo, what do you think?
During photoshoots I am always looking forward to the time of the day when the sun goes down, to catch that warm evening light, the golden hour, that always adds a magical atmosphere to the photographs. There is no better ending for a romantic photoshoot like this.
